Involuntary Art

On the occasion of reading Gilles Clément’s Involuntary Art, I went back to my personal archive and looked, one by one, through the photographs and videos I had taken,only now I was seeing them with different eyes. These photographs, instinctively captured without a second thought, without anything beautiful or artistically sublime in them, are images that make the observer a creator simply by observing the involuntary,what is nothing, and yet is something.

Gilles Clément distinguished eight categories;

Flights

Accumulations

Islands

Constructions

Erosions

Installations

Traces

Apparitions

The boundaries between them fluid and dependent on the aesthetic and intellectual judgment of the observer, the following collection consists of my own observations.
